Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) About OLLI Online Registration
How do I update my Member Profile?
You may edit or update your Member profile at any time. After signing in, access the link entitled “My Profile”. Click “Edit” at the bottom of the profile. You may then edit any of the profile fields. In order for the changes to take effect, you must click on “Submit” at the bottom of the page.
How Often Should I Change My Password?
We strongly encourage you to change your password on a regular basis.
What do I need to know about creating a password?
- Passwords are case sensitive. Usernames are NOT case sensitive.
- Passwords must be at least 8 characters long and contain a number and at least 2 of the following:
- uppercase letter
- lower case letter
- special symbol
- Do not use words, any part of your name or user name.
- When entering your Password, its strength will be displayed as a color image bar with text.
- An unsuccessful password will be labeled "short" or "weak".
- A successful password will be labeled "good" or "stong"
* We highly recommend that you create a "strong" Password
Who is eligible to join the OLLI at UK?
Any adult 50 years of age and older is eligible to register for membership.
How can I tell which courses are available for registration at my site?
(Lexington or Morehead).
Click on "Courses" on the menu bar to the left. The sites that have courses available for registration will be listed, along with the category of courses that are available. OLLI at UK members are eligible to register for classes at both of our two sites and may do so through online registration.
Can I sign up for a course at another site?
Yes, if you are an annual member in Lexington or Morehead, you are a member of both sites. You are welcome to sign up for courses at either or both sites, attend forums, one day intensives, special events, etc.
How do I find the actual courses available for registration?
While registration is open, click on “Courses” then on the Category below the site for a list of courses available in that topic area. When a course fills to its capacity, it will no longer be available to view.
How do I know if seats are still available and how many?
When a course fills, it will no longer be visible. To check on the number of seats still available, pull up the class listing from the topic category. The number of seats available for registration will be listed just to the right of the class title.
How do I find the specific information on each class?
Click on the topic category, then on the class title. This will pull up full course descriptions, times, dates, locations, instructor, etc.
How do I register for a class?
When a class is open for registration, it will have an "Add to Cart" button to the right of the description. Click on the “Add to Cart” button on the class listing or from the specific class page. If you have not yet purchased a membership, you will be prompted to do so before you can add a class to your cart. Once your membership is added, you can continue with your class registration.
NOTE: Class space is not held until one progresses successfully all the way through the payment process.
How do I accept the Risk Release?
When you choose any class, the required Risk Release will appear. You will need to complete the release by entering "YES" in the box as prompted. Once you have accepted the agreement, you can proceed with adding the class to your cart. You will have to do this with every class. Be sure to read each Risk Release.
How will I know if got into the class?
After “Checking Out” and completing your credit card payment, you will receive a class confirmation and transaction receipt via email. If you do not receive these emails, your registration may or may not have been completed. Contact the OLLI Office if this happens.
If you register by mail, you will receive your confirmation by mail.
Do I receive a receipt?
You will receive 2 emails when you register: a confirmation email and a payment receipt email that includes each class in which you successfully registered. You can also log onto your account and print a receipt for any of your classes. After signing in, select "My Financial Transactions" from the menu bar on the left. Find your class, then under "Action" select "Print View" and print your receipt.
How do I print my transcript?
To print a current transcript of classes, just sign in and select "My Transcript" from the left menu bar. In the upper left corner is an export link. Select the format you would like and then print.
When is a course canceled?
The OLLI at UK will make every effort to offer the curriculum listed in our catalog, however, we reserve the right to adjust or cancel classes when necessary. Members registered will be notified as soon as possible. When the OLLI at UK cancels a class, students may choose another class or a refund will be automatically processed for course fees. See refund policy for additional information.
Where do classes meet?
We have numerous Host Locations, for each of our sites, that provide the space for our programs to exist and to grow. We are appreciative of their support year in and year out. Location details will be listed with the class details and a link to map the location will be available to assit you in planning your travel.
What if I cannot attend a course as planned and need to drop the course?
If you need to drop a course, please call or email the OLLI Office as soon as possible. We often have multiple people on the waiting list. (Please note our Refund Policy.) You cannot use the online system to cancel a class.
What if I want to add a course?
You can register for additional courses as long as seats are available. If the class is full, you can choose to be on the Waiting List” and can add yourself to List. You will be notified by the OLLI Office if a seat becomes available.
