Composition and Elements of Design in
Photography

In this course, students will improve their photography skills
by learning how to use lines, shape, form, texture, pattern and
color to enhance the composition of their photographs. The
class will utilize lectures, handouts and videos to explain the
various elements of good design. Students will be encouraged
to take photos outside of class using the information they
learned. These photos will be used and discussed in class
to help students improve their skills. Required Materials:
Camera, memory card, camera manual and note pad.
