This course will consider the Constitution through the Judeo- Christian understanding of reality and Greco-Roman ideals
concerning the cultivation of the mind and the structure of government filtered through 2000 years of history. The
course will review the Ancient, Medieval and Modern worlds’ Political and Religious Antecedents; English and Colonial
History; the Creation of the Constitution including the Great Compromise; Federalism and Slavery; Interpretations and
Revisions; and end with Modern Cultural and Constitutional Flashpoints.
