Sleep is critical to many facets of physical and mental health, but many of us don’t get enough. Women are particularly impacted by lack of sleep. In fact, women are about 40% more likely to suffer from insomnia, compared to men, and this disparity worsens with age. In this presentation, I'll discuss the social and biological mechanisms that contribute to women’s insomnia, and offer insight on improving sleep health at any age.
