The Foreign Policy Association’s Great Decisions grassroots initiative began in 1954 and has grown to tens of thousands participating each year. The program provides information and a format for groups to discuss the “…most critical global issues facing America today.” Members learn together as they exercise critical thinking skills and share their personal understandings of issues that are sometimes complex and controversial. Topics for the fall include: U. S. relations with the Northern Triangle, China’s Road into Latin America, The Philippines and the U. S., and Artificial Intelligence and Data. When available, there may be guest presenters, as well. Each topic will be discussed for a minimum of two weeks. The 2020 Great Decisions briefing book is strongly recommended and can be purchased at www.fpa.org
. Each topic includes an overview video, which is available via the FPA YouTube channel.
