Leadership & Legacy: From Grassroots to Government
Speaker: Devine Carama (Director, One Lexington, Mayor's Office)
Thursday, October 6, 2022  2-3pm
Lexington Senior Center

With this presentation, Devine hopes to shatter the conventional templates of leadership that say money, heritage, gender, class, social status or even level of education dictates whether someone is a leader or not.  Instead, find leadership from within.  Everyone has a part to play so find the part you are uniquely gifted to play and then execute!  Devine will talk about the "Four B's of Leader: Be yourself, Believe in something, Be brave, and Balance" while explaining how her years as a grassroots artist and activist has informed her work in her new position in the mayor's office.
