Kentucky has a rich dry stone heritage. Rock fences line the roads of the Bluegrass. Stone cellars dot the landscape. Culverts, retaining walls, and even houses constructed of stone are located here. The Dry Stone Conservancy has dedicated the past 26 years to preserving the craft of dry stone masonry and the structures built using that method. This presentation will be an up close look at Kentucky's dry stone heritage and how the Dry Stone Conservancy goes about preserving the craft.
